The Space Captain BECK comes up with a one-off release.
A press release confirmed Beck's first new recordings since 2006's acclaimed "The Information", although gave no details of a possible follow-up.
It reads: "The lyric of 'Timebomb' echoes some of the dark themes from that album ('The Information') but is packaged in digital gris gris thunder as only Beck can do it."
The statement also reveals that "Timebomb" features "a whole gang of studio visitors on back-up vocals".
Paranoid chants and bright bleeps, washed-out chords and crisp rhythms come together in a pleasantly disorienting whirl.

Beck says "Timebomb" is "a song for bonfires, blackouts, and the last hurrah of summer."
